The stuff from Series 1 was kinda hard, but still tasted ok.

This shit is just foul. I've got a post coming a little later today about the gum. It should be entertaining... it sure was fun to make.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03728779862706637119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5535474485736373926.post-52330400660202154082009-03-24T13:52:00.000-04:002009-03-24T13:52:00.000-04:00You actually chew the gum? you are a much braver m...You actually chew the gum? you are a much braver man than I am. If you can find them I have bought some jumbo packs at Wal-Mart. You get 14 cards for $5. (OK. $4.97. I always round up.) I love these cards, but then I have always liked Heritage.Jinxo56https://www.blogger.com/profile/18220844304279211965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5535474485736373926.post-66994383815331092622009-03-23T18:59:00.000-04:002009-03-23T18:59:00.000-04:00Oh yeah the gum is terrible. That second piece of gum started out better than the first, but it sure didn't end that way.

Tastes like I've been chewing on old rubber for an hour.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03728779862706637119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5535474485736373926.post-63245820018108873722009-03-23T16:45:00.000-04:002009-03-23T16:45:00.000-04:00Ah... I guess no one expected us to put cards into anything but shoeboxes in 1960 so it didn't matter what direction they pointed.

For the record, my second piece of gum isn't nearly as bad, but it doesn't taste like the stuff in base Topps last year... it has a slightly acidic twinge on the back end of the flavor, if that makes any kind of sense.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03728779862706637119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5535474485736373926.post-26020463257035754772009-03-23T15:48:00.000-04:002009-03-23T15:48:00.000-04:00Yeah the upside down manager cards are driving me ...Yeah the upside down manager cards are driving me nuts but I LOVE this set. So far I've only been able to find some loose retail packs at Target and got one blaster before they sold out. None at my local Wally World yet. I think I'm gonna to to Target tomorrow after work tomorrow and buy some more.Jeffrey Wolfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15079647714239923829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5535474485736373926.post-25163790872264063932009-03-23T15:31:00.000-04:002009-03-23T15:31:00.000-04:00Actually, you'll find it isn't the insert cards th...Actually, you'll find it isn't the insert cards that are printed "upside down". It's the manager cards, and also the post season cards that are "upside down"... It's really annoying when if you put your set in a 9-pocket pages like I do...but I assume it follows the idiosynchrices of the original set.Nachos Grandehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02911007368272468591noreply@blogger.com
