Here's to the economy!

Looks like Dayf and I are in the same boat. But what the hell, I'll be upbeat about it and hopeful. Actually I am hopeful, it was time for a change. It sucks to have to do it this way, but you do what you gotta do. For the rest of the afternoon, if anyone needs me, I'll be out back watchin' the water go by and raising a glass to the economy.

If anyone wants to join, I'll be here all day.

I've been there. Take this period of ungainful self-employment (make sure you use positive terms!) to examine where you want to be and map out a plan to get there. Best of luck.

Best of luck to you. I'm afraid stories like yours are going to become more, not less, common as we move forward...

247 people lost their jobs in my area today. It ain't good.

But always stay positive.

Good luck to you. There is a package on its way to you. Hopefully it will help distract you for a little bit.

Thanks guys. I'd forgotten how much I liked Wild Turkey. But all things considered, I'm not too worried yet. They're building a new Best Buy about half an hour from here and while I don't really want to work retail, I think I'd actually enjoy it, so hopefully that'll work out.

But I've learned over the years how to budget, so I can stay alive and pay bills, and still buy a few baseball cards here and there for a while.

Just no more Wild Turkey for a while (that fifth is gone).
