Young Superstars II #2 - Glenn Braggs

I just noticed that the "accent colors" in Series 2 are reversed from Series 1.

This is a pretty good looking card, showing a very strong man with a pretty level swing. Legend has it that Braggs once snapped a bat in half trying to check his swing, and in 1990 he supposedly broke a bat on his back on his follow through.

Instead of a quotes by various front office officials, Series 2 has a small scouting report, and the report on Braggs' card makes mention of his strength.

Despite showing some potential for power, Braggs never really got a chance to play every day. He had over 500 at bats in 1987 and 1989, but never got more than 314 in any other season.

He is the owner of a World Series ring as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. He went hitless in four at bats in the 1990 World Series.
