Here's another one the girls at Dinged Corners should like. It looks like someone off camera told a good joke and Danny's giving it a hearty laugh.
I'll have to look to be sure, but I think this is the first card we've run into in either series where the player had already been traded once in his career. On December 10, 1986, Danny along with Rick Luecken were traded to the Royals for Scott Bankhead, Steve Shields, and Mike Kingery.
Kansas City got the better end of the deal, as Bankhead put up only one good season in Seattle.
Rick Luecken didn't play at the major league level until 1989 for the Royals and didn't pitch very effectly in his only season in KC. But Tartabull was a better than average player in all but one injury shortened season in Kansas City.
After five seasons in Kansas City, Tartabull signed as a free agent with the Yankees and made several guest appearances on Seinfeld before leaving for Oakland with some nasty words about his time in New York.
